The StormSector site was created by Ben Alonzo in 2001 featuring content on science, technology, weather, and more. You can read about Ben here. In an effort to assist educators, potential business partners, sponsors, and news media, the following information is provided.

Public Speaking, Live On-Air Reporting, and Training Events
Ben is available for public speaking events (schools, business), live on-air reporting (television, radio), and training events (as subject matter expert). Topics include severe weather, emergency preparedness, information technology, network security, hazardous weather forecasting, public alert, tactical emergency operations, first aid, and disaster response. If your business or organization is interested in a public speaking event, training or interview, limited opportunities exist. Opportunities are first-come first-serve basis. News media live reporting is available via telephone, streaming media, and on-site means. If you are broadcast media and are preparing an interview, please make sure you communicate the time slot you want, subject matter, length of interview and whether live shots or voice over will be used. If you are interested in training events, please be sure to specify audience details, audio-visual equipment available, topic, and time constraints. Schools, businesses or organizations can make a request here. Please include your full contact details, the group you represent, and a brief background on your request. Allow ample time for any response, especially during the summer months.

Advertisements, Sponsorship, and Product Reviews
The StormSector site attracts a variety of visitors from science and technology enthusiasts, storm chasers, to those looking for entertaining internet content. We can provide advertising space (standard, custom sizes) to relative business for a fee. This is a great opportunity to give your product or service great exposure to a variety of markets. Sponsorships are welcome as they help support operational costs. StormSector also conducts product reviews. If you are interested and offer a product or service related to science, technology, or weather, we would love to professionally review your product and present it to our visitors. Use the contact form here. Please include a link to your product along with your contact information. Products that are particularly impacting or greatly helpful to StormSector can earn an official endorsement. Before sending a product sample, please be sure to indicate when you ship an item as we keep track of all products received. Being prompt while sending samples is a great first impression. All reviews are done professionally and are as unbiased as possible conducted from a consumer as well as technically knowledgeable viewpoint.

Streaming Video Access, Purchasing Images/Video for Broadcast/Commercial Use
During special operations such as select storm chasing or severe weather events, a secure streaming video line is established on StormSector "VLine." The stream produces video at 15-30fps and still images between 1-5min updates available to news media by password protected access. You must contact StormSector for a username and password. Access to this system is subject to the site terms of service and disclaimer. Images and video from the StormSector website can be purchased for broadcast use.

Users agree to abide by the terms of service and disclaimer. Please note that advanced formal written permission for use of scripts, derived works, including text, graphics, audio, video or written works is required. Unauthorized use of any content or works is prohibited by law subject to prosecution.

StormSector Press, Journalism, Credentials, Identification, Privileges for Employees, Supplying Access/Credentials for Events, Scenes, Information, Etc.
Where and when officially designated by the StormSector Executive Manager [Ben Alonzo] in charge of StormSector operations, certain employees, its Director, and Executives may operate in a press or journalistic role when appropriate to cover certain news, events, promotional opportunities, or other type of business operations not limited to area, county, city, state, or country. StormSector expects it's fully authorized employees to maintain all required documentation and identification materials at all times during press-journalism operations. Likewise, StormSector expects all agencies, departments, organizations, law enforcement, emergency medical, emergency management, fire, military, business, and not-for-profit groups to acknowledge and respect the role of a journal-press operators and the limited privileges afforded to such individuals who are involved in media operations. We ask for full compliance from all agencies, organizations and businesses in recognition of our authorized employee press status as well as the role of current media in our society today for site access, product access, press releases, scene access, anonymous information, security, lawful protections, privileged information, flow of information, supplying access/credentials for events, venues, and not limited to planned and unplanned event access.

A StormSector employee operating in a official "on duty" capacity for another business/organization must first serve his/her duties as top priority and shall not operate in a press capacity until such time where/when appropriate that his/her duties are not compromised by operating in a press capacity. We recognize that duty to act is of top priority and shall take place before any press or other operating roll shall occur.

Our employees are trained to operate in a professional manner, using caution, common sense, and to respect scene integrity, safety, security, privileged information situations, as well as personal safety. Please contact StormSector executive management for issues, questions, lost, or stolen identification cards immediately. Agencies, businesses, and groups can check the employment and press status of a StormSector employee here. Unauthorized use of StormSector identification that is not issued by StormSector management to be used solely by the designated individual is a felony punishable by law.
